Emerging Men: Navigating the Path to Adulthood
Feeling uncertain about what's next after high school or during college? This 8-week group offers a safe, supportive space for young men to talk openly, gain tools for adulthood, and connect with others navigating similar challenges.

Facilitators
Mike Lawler, MS, MFT
With experience working with individuals and families across all ages, Mike is especially drawn to supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate the challenges of growing into adulthood. His own lived experience—finding purpose along a winding, uncertain path—fuels his passion for helping others do the same.
Drawing on his training in family and group therapy, as well as a narrative therapy approach, Mike helps participants reframe their stories, connect authentically, and use one another’s strengths to create meaningful, lasting change.
Mike offers group therapy for young men in Madison, Wisconsin, designed to build confidence, clarity, and a stronger sense of self during life’s major transitions.

Sam McGlynn MS, MFT
As a young adult himself, Sam brings a grounded, relatable presence to the group. Having recently navigated the challenges of college life, identity exploration, and the pressure to “figure it all out,” he offers valuable peer perspective and understanding.
Sam is passionate about helping other young men feel seen, heard, and supported as they find their footing. Working alongside Mike, he models openness, curiosity, and the courage to grow through shared experience.
