After completing his master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood University (formerly Edgewood College), Mike Lawler chose to establish a private-pay practice, focusing on the specific needs of his clients without the often disruptive interference of insurance companies. He was confident in his ability to provide mental health treatment to a range of people in need, and wanted to share his confidence with his clients -- hence the name Surefoot.
